Very good results in soda, good color variation and interaction with the soda. In wood it went very black and matte in some places.

Ha! ... I love this glaze and am very happy to be associated with it, however,I had never heard of "Unzicker Brothers Tenmoku" before I saw it here! Thanks for the credit Nate, just sorry we can't claim it as ours. We have always known it as Hamada rust. We have had best results using it a bit thin over white stoneware in the wood kiln.(as shown in the cup image on the site) Seems to work best with a moderate amount of ash in hotter parts of the kiln-- usually second shelf back from the firebox toword the top of the stack in our anagama style kiln.
